I have a small collection of windup robots, rockets and other associated tin toys. It gives me great joy to see the walking, spinning, whirring, and sometimes sparking antics of space age wind up toys. If you're familiar with my work, you know I'm often inspired by my love of these inventive toys.
One of my favorite inspirations is a Thunder Robot that was produced Japan during the 1950's. My interpretation of this toy is THUNDERBOT. Although this lovable robot stomps around the house and makes a lot of noise, it's a well meaning and happy character. Remind you of any young 'uns around your house? THUNDERBOT was created to capture lightning and transfer its power into positive energy that enhances learning and fun.
