Robots & spaceships sketch by Denise Marta-Burch

Denise and Jim founded Ridgeline Arts as a creative outlet for the wide-ranging styles of the Marta-Burch family of artists. California native Denise Marta met midwest transplant Jim Burch while they were both studying at San Francisco State University. Through an early collaborative project, they discovered a shared passion for art, illustration and each other.

While Denise was applying her talents as a muralist and merchandiser, Jim was working in advertising and marketing. After a few trips to northwest Arkansas, Denise and Jim decided to move to the Eureka Springs area where they could explore a greater variety of artwork and enjoy a less frenzied lifestlye.

Denise's artwork ranges from children's storybook illustrations and colorful retro stylings to more natural watercolor botanicals. Jim digitizes and prints in their studio on a high resolution printer using archival giclée inks on carefully selected archival paper from respected brands like Hahnemühle®, Canson® and Epson® Legacy. Each individual work of art has been carefully matched with a specific paper stock to ensure that all prints faithfully represent the original.

Denise and Jim share an interest in the 20th Century Arts & Crafts movement because of its emphasis on hand craftsmanship and quality. They formed Ridgeline Arts to bring handcrafted artwork and affordable, high quality reproductions directly to their customers.
