Reincarnation Along The Carson

  • Artist: Michelle Marta-Drake

This acrylic and pastel painting celebrates the reincarnation of the Carson River following its designation as a California Wild & Scenic River.

In 1844, Kit Carson led the first Europeans across what later became known as the Carson River. Subsequent mining left mine tailings, deforested slopes and debased water quality.

Since its designation as a California Wild & Scenic River in 1989, the watershed has been reincarnated as new trees grow from old and the area serves as a refuge for both wildlife and people.

Original: Acrylic and pastel on linen

Giclée print ready for framing with a white mat and backer board.

    • Medium print with mat to fit in 14 x 11 frame
    • Large print with mat to fit in 20 x 16 frame

On-screen images may contain RA watermark. Framed images are for illustration purposes only.
